So what's the point?

The modern internet has lost much of its precious value - the grassroots spirit of creativity.
Today, we’re overwhelmed by a flood of flashy, meaningless content designed solely to grab our attention and waste our time. The endless scroll has become a way of life for far too many people. Frankly, it’s the absolute peak of the shit mountain.

Sure, there’s nothing wrong with watching a few cute kittens on Shittok or whatever, but much of that content is engineered to be dangerously addictive - generating profit for random corporations at the expense of our dopamine balance.

That’s why I decided to create something of my own: a small gallery dedicated to the beauty of mediocrity - specifically, the cars that time forgot.

I’ve been photographing such machines for many years. I’ve always been fascinated by cars from the ’80s and ’90s, and for about fifteen years I’ve been quietly documenting their existence. At some point, I realized there are more “uncool car freaks” like me out there. Instead of letting all those photos collect digital dust, I decided to do something with them.

I’ve had blogs before - actually, two of them - but neither survived. Then a friend of mine invited me to join a larger project, and that’s how Petrolheart was born. I love being part of it, but I still needed a space of my own. So here we are.

Enjoy these humble automotive relics - or don’t. By the way, if the website feels a bit obsolete (or “retro,” if you prefer), that’s entirely intentional. It’s part of the concept. It’s designed to keep your dopamine levels steady. No rush - just take a look around.
